About the Job

As a senior software engineer, you will play a critical role in connecting Bitcoin and Babylon Genesis with the Cosmos and Ethereum ecosystems.. This involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing integrations for seamless interoperability between Babylon and Ethereum/Cosmos ecosystems. You'll work closely with core protocol engineers to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable integrations.

About You

You are a software engineer with a strong foundation in blockchain technology, particularly within the Cosmos or Ethereum ecosystem. You have a proven track record of building blockchains and distributed systems. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are passionate about driving innovation in the decentralized space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software for the integration between Babylon and Cosmos chains or Ethereum rollup protocols, or both.
• Collaborate with core protocol engineers to identify and resolve integration challenges.
• Contribute to the development of Babylon's tooling and SDKs for Cosmos and/or Ethereum.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the Cosmos and/or Ethereum ecosystem.

Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Rust, with 2+ years of experience writing performant and secure systems code.
• Solid understanding of CosmWasm smart contract development and deployment.
• Familiarity with Cosmos SDK and the Cosmos ecosystem, including modules like staking, governance, IBC, etc.
• Proven track record of driving solutions from ideas into production.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Golang.
• Experience with Bitcoin ecosystem.
• Contributions to open-source CosmWasm or Rust-based blockchain projects.
• Experience with Cosmos chains’ mainnet launches, upgrades, or validator operations.
• Knowledge of smart contract auditing practices and tools (e.g., fuzzing).
• Familiarity with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and staking ecosystem.
