The annual ETHDenver conference brings together the brightest minds in crypto and web3, and it didn’t disappoint this year either. Held from March 1–5, 2024, the ETH Denver brought together revolutionary ideas, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, highlighting just how fast innovation takes place in the Ethereum ecosystem and broader Web3 space. Babylon co-founder David Tse, along with our Head of Product Strategy, Sankha Banerjee, actively participated in numerous key events, representing Babylon and our groundbreaking mission.
Leading Important Panel Discussions:
Proof of Singularity Denver
David Tse took the stage at the “Proof Singularity Denver” event hosted by NEBRA on March 1st. He delivered a talk titled “Cases for Programmable Trust,” in which he made a case for programmable trust primitives like restaking to complement programmable cryptography like zero-knowledge proofs.
Restaking Summit
Babylon was also represented at the Restaking Summit, where our very own David Tse discussed “Bitcoin & Staking Programmability” with Alexei Zamyatin from Interlay/BOB. The discussion delved into innovative developments enabling programmability and staking on the Bitcoin network, exploring potential synergies between Bitcoin and Ethereum’s staking mechanisms. As thought leaders in their respective projects, Tse and Zamyatin provided insightful perspectives on this emerging frontier at the intersection of the two largest blockchain ecosystems.
With Bitcoin’s limited programmability and Ethereum’s rich staking ecosystem, the conversation explored avenues to connect these worlds, unlocking new capabilities.
Bitoday Research Seminar
Babylon’s Head of Product, Sankha Banerjee, joined the Bitoday Research Seminar Panel Discussion on Infrastructure, Modularity, Ordinals/Meta-protocols, and more, along with major players in the space, such as Nubit, Domo, Manta, Polyhedra, and BounceBit — Moderator: BlockBeats.
The research seminar also featured Babylon as a panelist discussing infrastructure, modularity, and metaprotocols like Ordinals on Bitcoin. Banerjee shared Babylon’s vision for supporting restaking capabilities with Bitcoin and layering liquidity across both the Ethereum and Bitcoin ecosystems.
Babylon’s Bitcoin Renaissance
Lastly, Babylon co-hosted the hugely successful "Bitcoin Renaissance" event at ETH Denver, the conference's main Bitcoin event, bringing together leading projects to discuss Bitcoin's next wave of innovation. David Tse presented the introductory keynote on Babylon. Insightful panels explored synergies between Bitcoin and PoS ecosystems, various Layer 2 scaling approaches for Bitcoin, and more. With great feedback across the board, Bitcoin Renaissance became a highlight of ETH Denver!

BTC Revival: Navigating the New Era of Bitcoin Innovation
Sankha also participated in a panel at OKX’s Web3 event, which brought together leading voices pioneering Bitcoin's next wave of evolution and utility expansion. He represented our groundbreaking work on enabling trustless Bitcoin staking. Dominik from BOB outlined their vision for scaling Bitcoin through Layer 2 solutions like rollups. Jimmy Yin (iZUMi Finance) and Leo Chan (Owlto Finance) represented projects building innovative DeFi primitives around Bitcoin's liquidity. However, OKX’s event had multiple panels spanning from infrastructure topics to Account Abstraction.
The panel painted an exciting picture of Bitcoin's future - not just as digital gold, but as the secure base layer for DeFi, Layer 2 scaling, interoperability with PoS ecosystems, and entirely new use cases unlocking BTC's vast untapped potential.
